When does first-year registration take place?

First-year registration takes place at NMMU from 23 to 25 January 2017. Check the relevant registration guide for the venues.

What are the down-payment amounts for this year – tuition and on-campus residence?

Degree – R6 700

Diploma – R 4 700

Residence – R4 800

By when do these down payments have to be paid?

Students need to pay these fees before they can register. Registration for first years begins on 23 January. Senior students can register online from 16 January.

When students register, do they have to have settled all their study debt? Or is it just the 2016 debt? And by when?

Again, only those students who in 2016 were identified as zero efc students, will be allowed to register with outstanding 2016 if they are deemed to be academically deserving. Everybody else needs to settle their debt, as well as make the necessary down payment before they will be allowed to register.
