03 January: NMMU opens
09 - 24 January: Examinations (including re-examinations for November/December 2016)
16 January: Online registration for senior students opens
17 - 20 January: Office for International Education orientation
20 January: NMMU residences re-open for first-year students (Port Elizabeth and George)

23 January – 3 February: First-year Success Programme (Orientation)
